Studio 41 Dress Hire Terms & Conditions

Please read in full prior to completing your booking.

1. General Information

• These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of Studio 41’s dress hire services, either via our website or in-store appointments.
• By placing a booking, you agree to comply with these Terms. We may update these Terms at any time without notice. Please review them regularly.

2. Booking and Payments

• Reservations: Dresses can be booked through our website or by contacting us directly. All bookings require confirmation and acceptance by Studio 41.
• Deposits: A security deposit of £50 is required at the time of booking to secure your rental for the chosen dates. This deposit is refundable upon the return of the dress in its original condition, minus any fees for damage or late return.
• Payment: Full payment, including the rental fee and deposit, must be made at the time of booking. If the dress is being delivered to you, a delivery charge will be added.

3. Rental Period

• Duration: The standard rental period is four (4) or seven (7) days unless otherwise agreed upon. The rental period begins on the day the dress is collected or delivered.
• Late Returns: A late fee of £20 per day will be charged for dresses not returned by the agreed date.
• Note: Day 1 of your rental is typically the day before your event, the dress should be back with us on day 4 or day 7.

4. Collection and Return

• Collection: Dresses can be collected from our studio or shipped to your address. If shipping is required, please indicate this at the time of booking.
• Return: Dresses must be returned in person or via post, your shipping charge includes the return postal pre-paid for your convenience. A return bag will be delivered with your dress. The pre-paid return is for next day delivery back to the studio and must be posted prior to 1pm in order to reach us the next day. Please photograph proof of delivery. Late fees will apply where postage is not made by 1pm.

5. Condition and Care

• Condition: All dresses are inspected before rental. Any existing damage will be noted. The dress should be returned in the same condition. Please inspect the dress the day it is received and notify us if there is an issue that prevents you from wearing the dress. You must notify us the same day you receive the dress. Please ensure the “returns tag” is not removed until after inspection. 
• Damage: If the dress is returned damaged, stained, or beyond normal wear and tear, repair costs will be deducted from the security deposit. If irreparable damage is caused the renter is liable for the full replacement value. Please DO NOT attempt to undertake any repairs, the dress is the property of Studio 41. 
• Cleaning: Please DO NOT attempt to wash or dry clean the dress, due to delicate fabrics we use a specialist dry cleaners, the renter will be responsible for any damage caused if the dress is taken to a dry cleaners or washed. The cost of cleaning is included in your rental.
• Ironing: Please DO NOT attempt to iron or hand steam the dresses, great care is taken with packaging but some creasing may be inevitable, it is ok to hang the dress in a room with a shower creating steam, ensuring the dress does not get wet. Any marks or damage caused by ironing will result in irreparable damage and render the dress unusable, thereby incurring the full RRP cost of the dress being charged to you, the renter. 

6. Cancellation Policy

• Cancellations: If you choose to cancel your booking more than 28 days prior to the rental date, you may request a refund of the rental cost. The deposit will be forfeited.
• Cancellation 27 days or less before the rental date will not be refunded but may be transferred to credit for a later booking. The deposit will be forfeited. 

7. Liability

• Loss or Damage: Studio 41 is not responsible for any loss or damage to the dress after it has been collected by the renter. The renter assumes responsibility until the dress is returned. 
• Fit and Suitability: Studio 41 is not liable for any issues related to the fit or suitability of the dress. It is the renters responsibility to check measurements from the dress brand/designer and ensure they are a suitable fit. Studio 41 will be happy to discuss dress measurements in advance of booking but does not offer refunds for non-fit.

8. Privacy

• Personal information collected during the booking process will be used solely for the purpose of fulfilling your order and communicating with you.

9. Governing Law

• These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Northern Ireland.
